Scientific computing and computational technology (CST – Computational Science and Technology) is a merger between the Department of Computational Biology and the Department of High Performance Computing and Visualization. It exploits the synergies that exist between the groups to work together to develop and apply advanced computational techniques. CST’s research is to compute, understand and manage physical and biological systems ranging from the numerical analysis of mathematical equations through efficient, scalable computations and visualizations through to information processing in the human brain.
